Connections.

June 23, 2009

There are some people you connect with. Instantly. As there are some you don’t. Ever. Then there are those- those  people. The people  you don’t connect with-and it makes you crazy because you know you should. So you force it because you have a mutual impulse to connect-which may, in itself, be some sort of connection. I do not know.

But I do know that we, as humans, have a deeply spiritual need to connect.  To make beautiful and dynamic connections that make us feel alive again-or possibly bring us to life for the first time. Connections that are not static, but active and mobile-connections that will not be lost.  These connections do exist.

Find them.

I just got caught up on the last of your posts.

I really got tears in my eyes on that post about your mom. I can’t wait for the future, yet I can.

I seriously can’t wait for Friday!

    I need to connect.

  3. my favorite connection is jump in the bush club.
pretending to be sonny and cher.
    the youth room.
the place we forged boys signatures all over the walls.
    surprise visits to TN.
    obnoxious train rides to NYC.
Lip-dubbing each other while standing on the bed.
winning a talent contest at a mexican restaurant.
knowing every dance move to written on your heart.
    trading cards-about ourselves!
driving home late at night singing to 90’s mixes.

then scattering about the southeast and still finding time to connect.
