Taxi cab.

Gwangju Jeolla-do, South Korea

Most of the cab drivers that we’ve met have spoken a tiny bit of broken English.
Yesterday, he didn’t speak any but he could tell we were American, and he kept saying “Obama” and giving us the thumbs up.
He just kept repeating it: “Obama! Obama! Obama!” thumbs up.
Then right before we reached our hotel, he was like “Micheal Jackson!” thumbs up.

I was cracking up the whole time.

Then today we had the coolest guy. He could not stop smiling.
We never had a conversation, but he kept calling out states and cities the whole ride.
“New York… Ohio…Kentucky… California… Florida…”
After a few we started naming some also
“South Carolina. North Carolina. Georgia. Maine. Virginia. Washington.”
He kept going on and on. It was like a game.
He seriously named more than I could. (kind of embarrassing)

This cab driver in the photo though didn’t talk to us at all. However, he did catch me taking pictures of him in the mirrow…AWKWARD!
